| 507576 | 2006-12-18 03:05:00 | I am going to singapore for a while, and want to compare prices for computer componenents before I go. Anyone know of something like a singapore pricespy? Or any website where I can see the singapore prices? I can't really find any. Thanks |

| 507578 | 2006-12-18 03:40:00 | The problem with Singapore is that they often don't sell goods at "marked" prices, and in many cases, don't mark the prices on the goods at all - everything is up to how good you are at negotiating. The lesson I learnt when I travelled to Singapore earlier this year was to avoid the touristy shops - the owners of those stores are well aware of how to con tourists, as I learnt (later on), that a digital camera I bought at one store in Sim Lim Square (their big computer/electronics mall) could be purchased $50 cheaper at a more "local" shop elsewhere in Sinapore. I did find a pricespy-like site before I travelled there though - called VRZone or something along those lines. |
