We are all very lucky to have the Master help us learn. Download FixWareout from here: files.filefront.com or here: www.4shared.com Save it to your desktop and run it. Click Next, then Install, make sure "Run fixit" is checked and click Finish. The fix will begin; follow the prompts. You will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so. Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal. Once the desktop loads Save the text that will open (report.txt) to your desktop. Should you have problems connecting to the internet after the fix, follow these instrutions. Please go to Start -> Control Panel Network Connections. Rightclick on your default connection (usually Local Area Connection or Dial-up Connection if you are using Dial-up) and leftclick on Properties. Doubleclick on the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) item and select the button that says "Obtain DNS servers automatically". Click OK twice, and restart your computer. In your next reply, please include a fresh Hijackthis log and report.txt. Thanks |

| 722121 | 2008-11-26 09:56:00 | PANCAKE, thanks but as I reported earlier, I was unable to get FIXWAREOUT or DIALAFIX to run with VISTA any way I tried. Regarding Dialafix, read the author's comment on VISTA posted on a previous page of this thread. Anyhow, thanks to SPEEDY I have sorted my problem. BURNZEE, thanks. I'm glad you share my appreciation of SPEEDY's input to this forum and I'm sure we speak for many others. I hope the forum admin also value his presence. Maybe they will pick this up and comment ? blanco. |
