Or did you delete Java's folder (thats probably why you cant uninstall it)

If you did, you should NEVER delete any program folders, unless you uninstall it first

Edit: would system restore fix it?

also portable revo uninstaller said it was uninstalled but the jre-6u10-windows-i586-p.exe file still says that there is a version of java on it and it wont install to the computer

722140 2008-11-23 06:36:00 Well dont next time, use ccleaner's registry option, and scan for issues, then delete whatever comes up.

That should remove Java's entries. Then get the full install / 15.4 mb then see if it works

Also make sure youre not trying to remove it while any browsers are open

iv done this heaps it just wont work
i cant do it tonight tho. maybe tommorow.
if you have any suggestions just tell me. ill also do a system restore and see if that works
