| 507556 | 2006-12-18 05:31:00 | Oh, here is a lemon and a rock. Suck on the lemon and live under the rock.Hey, that is uncalled for. Don't drop to that level please. | Jen (38) | ||

Or try to pay for that yourself say get a Go Pro plan and then pay the GBs yourself or get a ISP which have 5GB overages portions and do the maths. To prevent this Go Large thingy or any other unlimited plans why don't they just forget unlimited just like Telstra AU. You get the GBs what you buy. IMHO I think 30GB is excessive. I mean think about it, if a $80 plan has 15GB not slowing you down, for the benefit of the doubt lets double it and give that leeway for you anything more I would think is excessive. The helpdesk probably had a difficulty giving you a answer because the excessive figure is not cast in iron, they take it on the situation basis. Its not like saying ok, you have cross the red line now this is what will happen and this is what will happen to all pple who do it the first time or the x'th time within this x period. |

| 507558 | 2006-12-18 07:56:00 | We also have a commitment to our customers to give them the best service possible under our terms and conditions 98% of customers use the service and fit well within this with no issues, there are however a very small % that do breach these conditions and I'm sorry to say that at this stage based on your traffic type / Volume you do fit into that category, You may not like it but I'm afraid it does breach our policy and it is our right to action it the way we see fit , also contained in fair use policy. I'm surprised that nobody picked up on this. It wasn't just the volume, seems that it was the type of stuff he was downloading that caused them to rein him in. I guess that could mean source or content, I don't really know because I live within 2GB per month and don't stray down those paths. Cheers Billy 8-{) :p |

| 507560 | 2006-12-18 08:33:00 | NOMAD has the fairest answer yet god dam there are normal people out there.(sorry god) To me they could have mailed me and asked me nicely to curb what they deemed excessive use. Then there would have been no problem at all and none of these forums would have had all my crap about it. I appoligise to all people who hav been upset in some manner shape or form we all have different views on things my view is they should have warned me |

| 507561 | 2006-12-18 09:38:00 | Eh Keithholden? Not sure where you are coming from, but those sorts of comments are bizzare to say the least. This is a public forum, so you shouldn't make such threats even in jest. But it is your username and IP there so ... And for your information, the South Island tends to supply the North Island with power, not vice versa. |

| 507562 | 2006-12-18 09:54:00 | Yeah that's what's really pissed me off tbh... Xnet didn't tell anyone anything with regards to the limiting of traffic, they just started doing it. Bit rude imo. |

I can understand your frustration but just be careful exactly how you vent! Im stuck with 2KBps for my torrent downloads. Takes me days to get the latest Gentoo Install CD... This might brighten your evening.. its funny, really: bash.org |

| 507564 | 2006-12-18 12:06:00 | Well now im completely off track and I guess this isnt the place. I guess most of us will agree that if you take a new xnet plan its fine but if you are on the old plans then you could be targeted depending on how they feel. If your on unlimited national traffic take it easy now to avoid dissapointment later. |
