My experiences with contacting Ihug have been all good so far. I was especially impressed on one occasion when the helpdesk tech was very quick to know exactly what the cause of my problem was. |

I was especially impressed on one occasion when the helpdesk tech was very quick to know exactly what the cause of my problem was. Same here, my experiences with ihug helpdesk staff have all been very good, the last one I got when the internet wasn't working was very good and i was able to speak to him as I would to any other IT professional resulting in a very speedy resolution. Shame it was the rats who had eaten my phoneline... |

| 506582 | 2006-12-15 04:53:00 | you cant run the wizard if you install the drivers like that ? surely the wizard has an exe on the cd ?.....hmmm.... The new CD has a minimum requirements check at the start of the wizard. If you don't have a network card, you fail that check & can't run the part of the wizard that connects to Xtra & activates the broadband username. |

That was the first thing I tried when the CD didn't work, but then I discovered that the broadband username is actually disabled until the CD connects to xtra & activates it. The only alternative I could find was calling the helpdesk. |

The only alternative I could find was calling the helpdesk. Not if they had an account before - like dialup. And in any case you just ring them and tell them to do it. Or ring them and tell them to send apologies, new routers and credit their customers accounts......... Tell them, not ask them. |
