| 722735 | 2008-11-24 22:17:00 | Hi everyone, a warning - I'm not very computer savvy. :P Ok I've got a problem and I'd really like it sorted. :) When I'm playing online games, every 10 seconds or so, it lags for a few seconds. Even when I'm just rotating the camera. It's like fine... fine... laglaglaglaglag, fine... fine... Bad way of explaining it but only way I can get it across. It feels like something else is running in the background but there's nothing showing in the Task Manager. My specs are well above the minimum requirements for this game in it's lowest graphic setting. At first it was only happening when I played in the high end graphic setting (was considering buying a new graphics card) however earlier I went on the Java website and discovered I didn't have the latest Java so I downloaded it, all that did was make it happen in whichever setting I have it. Is there any way of getting the old version back so I can at least have it how it was? Also, has Java always showed in the Task Manager? I can't remember seeing it there before. o.O It seems to be using a lot of CPU. If there is no way of getting the old Java back, which frankly I shouldn't need to do... could anyone tell me what to try next? Again, sorry for my lack of knowledge. Any help would be great!! Thanks :D |

| 722741 | 2008-11-24 22:46:00 | It may not be your system at all. Have you been in touch with your ISP / phone co, to see if theyre having issues? If the modem is ADSL/2, a firmware update if ones available may fix it |

| 722743 | 2008-11-24 23:14:00 | Is it an ADSL / 2 modem / router / whatever? If it is whats the brand/model? Or is it cable or something else? How are you connected to the Internet? |

| 722744 | 2008-11-24 23:33:00 | It's an ADSL wireless modem. BT Homehub but it's apparently a rebranded Thomson Speedtouch 7G if that helps any. |
