| 508544 | 2006-12-24 07:12:00 | Wow... I actually didn't think there'd be anyone willing to run Vista. I do actually remember saying this about WinXP a few years ago. I guess windows gets more and more ludicrous with every release. Ahhh the dummy PC user that only uses the computer for surfing and emails.... they are the easiest to switch to linux (as long as they have broadband). Show me someone that doesn't use any specialised software (MS Money for instance) and has broadband and I could switch em to linux in no time! I can even get a few windows games working for them easily. People think linux is hard, its only hard if you like to play around. A dummy user would be fine with linux! SO ANYWAY, who would agree with me when I say Vista is just like a flashy version of XP? You would probably be better off running XP with a Vista theme and running 3D looking glass which is basically what this version of windows is ripping off. Hell, project looking glass is available on linux, couple that with XGL and Compiz and you may need a vista capable machine to run all that ROFL! www.google.co.nz www.google.co.nz I don't agree. Vista is just a flashy version of Mac OS X. |

That's it in a nutshell, and XP is/was just a flashy version of NT. Repeat after me "Microsoft is an innovative company" > insert comment from Tui Beer add here<;) |

| 508548 | 2006-12-25 05:59:00 | I don't agree. Vista is just a flashy version of Mac OS X. It isn't really any more flashy than OSX. It is OSX with the compatibility issues fixed  |

| 508550 | 2006-12-25 08:21:00 | What compatibility issues would those be:confused: Now you can run an OSX clone on any old hardware (with enough power) and you can still keep all your favourite windows programs :p |
