Well, I rang Xnet, they are on holiday apart from technical services. So it appears Xnet will split, the rental of the River plan for per days for part month. But the the GB or MB are calculated how much you use. For eg. If I had 7 days for December. River plan = $33.95/31 x 7 = XXXX. If in 7 days I use 16GB I am charged for approx $16. If in 7 days I use 25GB its $16 but after 16GB it slows to dialup speed. If in 7 days I use 8GB I am charged $8. For a full month, I am charged $33.95 for rental under River. Then the same GB or MB calculations as above. So if you use less you are charged less, if you use all of it you are charged that rate, if you use more over its free for additional but its slowed down. I think its not bad so if you use less you save some money than just be sunked in by the ISP. If you use over you get slower speed. Clear as mud :D PS. Yeah I am tested out to be 1.97Mbit, asked to do 3 test - morning, afternoon and evening and then email them and then they say its on the hands of Telecom. Oh man .. I am part of the group now. I really like Xnet's Firefox tool bar thing that measures your bill, GB usage and stuff ... really great  |
