722728 2008-11-25 01:33:00 Have you got Service Pack 1 for Vista installed? That improved some issues that Vista has resuming from sleep mode.

The simple answer is don't use sleep mode, its a great idea but MS have never really perfected it.

722729 2008-11-25 01:40:00 Thanks. NOT using it is great idea but I was wondering if this only happened to me. ??? olldaddy78 (6546)
722730 2008-11-25 01:40:00 Nope, thousands of people are affected by it. :)

Do you have SP1 installed? Either way it's well worth having.

722731 2008-11-25 01:45:00 Yes I do have SP1 installed but it does not help. I guess we will have to wait for WINDOWS 7? olldaddy78 (6546)
722732 2008-11-25 01:49:00 Something like that. ;) wratterus (105)
722733 2008-11-25 02:22:00 One sites says drivers can cause this, if its a Dell / HP system updating the BIOS may fix it.

And it can happen with Nvidia video drivers

And another is to change the settings under power

Other than that, kill it

And another site says dont use Sleep mode, if you use a Logitech G15 keyboard. It wont wake up

Sleep, hibernation and standby modes are optimised mainly for laptop computers and, as you have found out, they do not always work as they should on desktop computers due to hardware configuration conflicts and sometimes software.

As mentioned previously you are best to just not use it.
