1433460 2017-03-28 06:25:00 My laptop keeps files that I have used open in the background. What I would like is that when I have used a file and no longer need it, open the next file which will delete the previous file from the memory. I know it can be done as my Desktop has that facility but I can't work it out. Bryan (147)
1433461 2017-03-28 20:24:00 What type of files and from where -- The description is a bit to vague to give an accurate reply.

You can check the settings, following the instruction on this site: winsupersite.com

1433462 2017-03-29 01:36:00 Are you having problems with too little RAM, and performance problems?

Or is your taskbar hiding open files (solution, right-click taskbar, properties, "taskbar buttons", "never combine")

Or is it you are concerned about security, and don't want files kept in memory? (solution is a "sandbox")

1433463 2017-03-29 01:56:00 Thank you both in answer to my carefully thought out question that wasn't asked carefully and succinctly. WT's response was on the money - open each file in the same window! Thanks again Bryan (147)
