2017-03-21 01:32:00 | Failed this morning, BUT that's more than likely go t to do with the fact the hardware was being altered here, and several times the internet was down. Just manually ran updates, coming through just fine now.

2017-03-21 03:23:00 | Have you tried not worrying about it and letting it do it's own thing? | wratterus (105) | |
2017-03-21 03:53:00 | Have you tried not worrying about it and letting it do it's own thing? So, you bought a product for a specific job, but just leave it alone and let it do it's own thing?? Good suggestion.

2017-03-21 04:05:00 | Have you tried not worrying about it and letting it do it's own thing? Tell that to my BH, thought I would download it while she is doing some wool winding, which is a break from designing upcoming easter/xmas cards, normally does 450 xmas types. lurking.

You wont even know its doing it unless the Computer is so low spec it slows down on any downloads. If you know its downloading then by all means keep an eye on the progress and once finished up to you if you want to reboot now or leave it till later. Once its finished it will sit there waiting. All these people who say W10 auto reboots --- VERY questionable. Never seen it do that unless its outside of the set working hours or they never reboot their computers and even then its usually set for 3am. This PC is downloading the update now and installing, if it wasn't for the fact I started it I would never know it was doing it. Edited: Heres what I mean, just checked, no idea how long its been sitting waiting. 7954 |

2017-03-21 06:03:00 | This is Hogwash the way they are handling Updates. Taking hours to download and install defies belief. Two nights ago I turned on my laptop that I travel with. I havent changed it to Linux because it has Telstra Mobile programmes on it and I have no idea if they will work on Linux because Ive never tried them, as I need to be in Aus. Anyway, when I went to shut it down up come the message Do not turn the power off Configuring Windows or whatever. So I left it on. When I got up in the morning it wouldnt turn on. WTF, the battery was dead flat. Attached the Power Pack and it booted normally but when I went to close down a same message Do not turn your computer off configuring Windows or whatever. Imagine if you drove home at night and you car brings up a message Do not turn this car off, configuring EFI. So you leave it running and in the morning youve run out of gas. Or imagine if youre travelling on an airline and you tell the authorities you cant turn your Laptop off because its updating. Good luck with that one. Its simply mindless rubbish from a company who should know better. :(
