2017-02-23 20:02:00 | I bought a book here 7th Jan. On 19th Jan, seller refunded me and I completed the confirm lost parcel form for NZPost. Yesterday the book arrived. No explanation, just in the letterbox. Clearly labelled with my address and her return address. 7 weeks!!! Also, my mum always sends a box to me every 2 or 4 weeks. Large. Last time it cost her $58 to send overnight. They labelled it 3 day. It came after 3 days, but still, their mistake. So she sends another, charged $60 this time. I can't talk her out of using NZPOst, she says the staff there are "lovely". I bet, they make a fortune off her. Never mind she could get it collected, save her struggling in with a heavy box. I use these boxes and send them on to another friend about the same distance away. But I use Pass The Parcel, it costs me $10, $12. Same size, same weight. Overnight, and they pick it up from me. This friend sent an even bigger one back one time, she sent by Post haste. Overnight, cost her $10. NZPost is the pits, I fail to understand why anyone bothers these days. Small things in a plastic bag perhaps, anything of size, hell no. I can get stuff from the UK in a week, 7 weeks to deliver a book??

2017-02-25 03:08:00 | Im not totally impressed with Pass the parcel . . . . . . . . . . . . . . parcel sent on tuesday from Auckland . . . . . . . . . . has not arrived to me yet . but I know it has been in Wanganui since wednesday, it has been out in the Van twice maybe, and gone back to base . . . . . . . . . no attempt to deliver at the address on the box . . . . . . . . . . . so I might see it monday now maybe? Im not a fan of NZ Post either . . . . . . . . There is a great possiblity that items being sent from the UK on the 15th (last week) will arive before the pass the parcel one arrives . . . . . . . . :D

2017-02-25 08:07:00 | They're all a bunch of scoundrels, rogues and vagabonds. ;) Pass The Parcel haven't taken 7 weeks YET, but they've taken a good solid start on it. And pctek, Nz post rates are actually pretty cheap, taken on an hourly basis.

2017-02-25 20:11:00 | 11 days for a letter from Mount Maunganui to Aucklands North Shore. I suspect the Pigeon must have enjoyed the hospitality of numerous Lofts along the way.

2017-02-25 22:01:00 | I've had a package from Cambridge to Hamilton take 8, days that's 22km for anyone unfamiliar or < 3km a day, could theoretically walk there and back in < 10 hours. But even worse is almost an entire week for a package to get across town, I'd have collected it myself if the seller allowed it. I think that one was approx 5km in 6 days. The postal service isn't what it was that's for sure. Still I'm usually happy to wait as long as it actually arrives. I personally am very suspicious the NZ post are in the habit of putting cards in my letterbox saying no one was home for packages they have never taken out of the depot. One delivery from Aussie was sent back, I never even received a card and when queried was given 2 dates when delivery was attempted and a card left. Both dates I was home and these mystery cards seem to have dissolved. I've had confirmation over the phone one time that the posties don't deliver packages over a certain size, but they don't tell you that when you send things and the cards they leave claim attempted delivery.

I know for a fact they sometimes do this, especially if they think no one may be home . The postie is now actually also a courier driver . Only issue is, they dont allways put the card to call in the leterbox, or just jam it between the front door & the doorsill, where it falls out & gets blown away Got to remember , theres no money to be made in POST & courier services any more . The couriers might get $1 per parcel, and for that they do 14hour days , 6days a week . No wonder they dont make an effort . Want reliable services, they be prepared to pay what it costs for a reliable fast service :) So much moaning when postage for letters goes up even 5c . Running at a loss : dont expect good service . |

2017-02-27 06:42:00 | NZ Post is about to appear on Fairgo tonight. | Bobh (5192) | |
2017-02-27 19:15:00 | theres no money to be made in POST & courier services any more . Yet, the courier companies do OK . NZPost bleats and moans . Fair Go, they can't guarantee overnight cause it would put the cost up . . . . so how come the others can do it then? Yes, there are sometimes fails with them too, not quite a s consistently though, it comes down to individual drivers mainly, NZPost seem to be one of the worst to deal with though, if you have a complaint . I'm having an issue with their Courierpost at the mo . I complained to the driver he ignored the sign saying front only . He said he "doesn't know what the front is" and I said the part that isn't at the back . So he said F*** You and left . I gave him a gesture as he did so . Now, he says, I am rude and refuses to come here, not picking up, not delivering . Courierpost tell me thy are investigating and not to worry, he can't refuse a job . Oh yes he can . He is . They tell me they'll be in touch soon . Yes, soon is ?
