1431579	2017-02-05 03:34:00	Have just put up 2meter extending track for BH. She wants to bang the middle "stirrup" with a hammer, to make it accept the track!!. Surely this not the solution "a hammer". Any help appreciated for OH. lurking. ps. could be poor quality steel, from you know where. lurks.	Lurking (218)

1431581	2017-02-05 04:06:00	Check the "stirrups" are all the same size, some track systems use two different sizes for the wider and smaller parts of the track. Also if it's the one's I'm thinking of they go in best on an angle with the edge away from the door normally going in first and then twist them in. Or hit it with a hammer :) Maybe a rubber mallet would help.	dugimodo (138)

Hi clive & dug, ok pictures attached. dug, there is a right way and a wrong way, the problem is the inside bracket, middle bracket in other words. We have put the rods into the top as directed and snapped down, except the middle one does not budge to a snap down position. Yes the package was brand new on opening. Why the need to belt the bl**dy thing with anything, let alone a hammer. Sorry to be late replying, kids and g/kids over for tea, they had just returned from a few days away. lurking.	Lurking (218)
1431583	2017-02-05 07:57:00	No!!! Don't use a 🔨 You will destroy it. Sounds like bracket is not level. Try repositioning it a wee bit further along being careful to get the levels right. I have put plenty of those up and if they are not right they are a real pain. Ken	kenj (9738)
1431584	2017-02-05 08:06:00	I've had trouble with those before but I've always managed to twist it in with a bit of brute force and ignorance. I'd still check for size because last time I couldn't get one to go in I discovered that there were 2 different brackets in that set. What sometimes helps (very slightly) is to remove the end piece of the bracket completely from the bit attached to the wall and fit it first	dugimodo (138)
1431585	2017-02-05 09:01:00	I have done the same thing with those type in the past - only to discover the "tight" one was in fact supposed to go on the end that telescopes out from the other. It is slightly smaller, and the bracket I had on the end turned out to be the one that was supposed to be on the middle, and the one I had on the middle actually fitted the end after all! There are usually 2 the same size, plus 1 that is a bit smaller...	bevy121 (117)
