2017-02-03 05:27:00 | What is with 'Neighbourly'? https://www.neighbourly.co.nz/ I have looked at registering but they require quite a bit of personal information. They do a lot of advertising so it must have some big $$$ backing it. It seems like a good idea but I am skeptical due to the amount of info required to sign up. | Strommer (42) | |
2017-02-03 05:48:00 | Unless you are within a major city I would not bother with it. I registered, verified my address just to be disappointed that it quarantines you to your town in which very little happens in my neck of the woods and I would have preferred a more regional approach. Trying to see out of town messages is pointless, because you're contained to your own local community. I also had to request them to delete my account because unsubscribing to their spam didn't work. They have potential to be better but its lacking and seems little development goes on with it.

2017-02-03 06:45:00 | I signed up but I rarely visit. I thought it would be more of a neighbourhood watch kind of thing and while people do use it for that it's more like a community noticeboard in practice. | dugimodo (138) | |
2017-02-03 08:11:00 | I signed up too. I normally flick through their emails and read what interests me. I think that it is good as a locally based discussion group and it also keeps you informed. | Bobh (5192) | |
2017-02-03 18:33:00 | has its uses but SWMBO finds the local Facebook page better | gary67 (56) | |
2017-02-03 18:51:00 | I signed up ages ago, never went back. However, the local free rag now only has their paper online via Neighbourly, so if I want to have a look at it (we rarely get if delivered) I have to go there. I didn't find it useful at all. Neighboourly in Ranui? LOL. Actually one neighbour is lovely. One is the opposite and the other is in between.

2017-02-04 23:10:00 | No wonder it isn't worthwhile --- they misspelled it: "Neighbourly" It's "Neighborly" Youse guys - sheesh!

2017-02-05 00:00:00 | No wonder it isn't worthwhile --- they misspelled it: "Neighbourly" It's "Neighborly" Youse guys - sheesh! Depends on where in the world you are. The Americans always spell words differently. :p A good example Color vs. colour Color and colour are different spellings of the same word. Color is the preferred spelling in American English, and colour is preferred in all other main varieties of English. And MANY others the Americans spell different: most-commonly-misspelled-words.html (www.greyorgray.com) :D
