1432103 2017-03-29 22:47:00 If you are talking about carbon tetrachloride, be aware that the fumes are extremely toxic.

It was used as a dry cleaning solvent not that long ago.
I remember working in a clothing factory that had a huge bottle of the stuff & was sometimes used it to clean new clothes . Heaps of the stuff, just in the middle of the factory
Ah good times, no Health & safety back then.

Even at school, in science class , Carbon tet was handed to the students to pass around the class . My Friends dad who worked in the Chem industry, hit the roof when he found out

1432106 2017-04-01 02:08:00 The only thing I have found to work in these circumstances is isopropyl alcohol. Meths never seems to get the residue off - at best, it makes it ball up, and you can pick the balls of glue off, but it still leaves some residue behind. John H (8)
