If truly a day of celebration, remembrance, there would be no need to Mondayize holdays that fall on weekends Mondayizing holidays shows there true meaning . On the other hand, given the 40hour working week is long gone now ,with many working long hours & 6,7 days a week, no surprise its just a day to relax. For those who arnt working on the day off . |

Plus, in old times, admittedly, really old times, much of the celebrations weren't. Xmas for instance. No feasts, no fun, just go to church in the middle of the night. All the fun stuff came from the pagans. |
