| 723765 | 2008-11-27 23:24:00 | Is there any way to minimise or turn off the shared memory in Vista? As i hav a dedicated 256MB video card (Nvidia Geforce 9200M GS) and 4GB of system RAM, and Vista has taken 1200MB to use as shared video, why, i dont know, as i need that RAM for other things | aidanmaz (7180) | ||

You have a 32bit version of Vista right? 32bit operating systems can't see/use the whole 4GB, thats why it shows as less. To get the whole 4GB or more you need a 64bit version. |

| 723769 | 2008-11-28 01:01:00 | The BIOS will say there's 4 GB on a 32 bit system. That doesnt mean you can use 4 GB within 32 bit Windows I cant see anything in that pic, saying 4 GB |
