723160 2008-11-26 19:28:00 I am using Windows XP with SP3: For no apparent reason, My computer has stopped recording the automatic daily "System Restore" point. I am still able to maually set a point. I can't find a menu that allows me to correct this fault. mccurdy552 (14360)
723161 2008-11-26 19:46:00 Welcome to PressF1 mccurdy.

Try this - Go into system properties (right click on My Computer and click properties).

Go to the System Restore tab and tick the box that says "Disable System Restore".

Then reboot your PC.

Download CCleaner (www.ccleaner.com) if you don't already have it, and clean out temporary files.

Reboot again, then re-enable system restore.

See how that goes.

Also, have you changed the disk space used by System Restore to a low figure, or is your HDD getting quite full?
