510992 2007-01-05 00:42:00 Ha...I've got singing greeting cards with speeds and ROM bigger than that! SurferJoe46 (51)
510993 2007-01-06 03:03:00 I don't know whether you have noted the other thread which seems to have a "mines faster than yours" theme. Well mine is "mines slower than yours".

I have a Linux server which is a...

Pentium I 166MHz

64MB RAM

2x 4.3GB SCSI hard drives
1x 4.3GB IDE hard drive

I think the CD ROM is b*****ed

Ipex tower case (generic)

Mandrake 8.1 or 8.2 (probably not the oldest in regular use distro on PressF1)

:waughh:

Fujitsu Pentium 75 (complete with Intel bug) running a FreeBSD 6.1 wired and wireless router/firewall/DHCP/ntpd/cvsup. One of those really really small form factors and very quiet. 64Mb ram, 6G disk.

510995 2007-01-06 12:10:00 Stargate? cool :D :p

my slowest pc is a 300mhz Small Form Factor which acts as my main server (nice and quiet), then my fileserver (running at 1.8GHz - P4, and dare i say it... just shy of 1TB Storage space)

510996 2007-01-06 19:36:00 My slowest PC is a 566MHz Intel Celeron running Windows 98. It originally had a 15GB hard drive, but it died, so it now has a 1GB hard drive. :( It will be 60GB next week. :D pcuser42 (130)
510997 2007-01-06 21:21:00 566mhz? windows98? 60gb? you might want to look at win2k, FAT32 is iffy, especially if you want to store large files or anything. Dannz (1668)
510998 2007-01-06 21:37:00 I'm getting the 60GB for XP, I don't have Windows 2000. pcuser42 (130)
510999 2007-01-06 21:38:00 Xp? i suggested win2k because 566 is going to be fairly slow with xp Dannz (1668)
