509783 2006-12-26 09:35:00 For full speed downstream users only please.

What speed are you getting off ADSL from test sites. ADSL customers only please.

Preferably you have done a test such as morning, afternoon and evening so that you are not getting peaks and toughs. Try to test national and international. I am not going to ramble between national and international speeds but just want to get an idea on what sort of consistent maximum speeds are provided to the customer.

If they are very close to the thresholds you can round it there.

Xtra Go Large and other unlimited plan users there is a different poll.

Cheers

509784 2006-12-26 09:54:00 For me, not under unlimited plans. It appears international traffic is like 0.5Mbit or slower for me. National is 2Mbit. I popped 2Mbit on the poll. Nomad (952)
509785 2006-12-26 09:58:00 I'm on Xnet River Plan at home.
Tests ran at speedtest.net

Auckland Average: 4500
Sydney avg: 4600
Los Angeles avg: 3900

Selected up to 4mbits in poll.

Dissapointing, before there "big speed boost" we were getting the same, maybe its just our line, but i dont think so since we living in a medium wealth, newish area. Thanks Telecom!!!

509788 2006-12-26 21:04:00 Umm... ok. I have used by my ISP
http://ip.northnet.net.nz/

Thanks to Cyabro, speedtest.net
I have sort of found the NZ Auckland server consistent with the (first link), I think that link could be national as well. I have tested others abroad (again from Cyabro's link) and they are not as fast (or to some the same) as NZ such as LA, Sydney. The NZ server and the first link has been consistent with Geoff Palmer's link as well from my experience.

509790 2006-12-27 07:56:00 This could be the reason to the latency experienced when international websites are accessed: thestar.com.my

Cheers :)

I don’t think so NZ has had that latency issue for a while & it has got worse since go large came around.
