2008-12-01 05:20:00 | Hey guys, Ive recently installed XP Pro (had Vista Ultimate but had to downgrade due to compatibility problems with a few of my key programs) I am having a problem with my graphics driver and The Sims 2 Apartment Life. Ive been running The Sims 2 (including all the expansion packs etc) in Vista for a long time, and it runs perfectly, but now in XP pro, i get a very specific error when i use the build mode tools (specifically: deleting walls). The game crashes and im returned to the desktop, which is now 640x480 16 colour, with an error message saying the graphics driver has stopped working normally. (see screenshot) img179.imageshack.us Any help would be great!! | 724585 | 2008-12-01 05:43:00 | Are the video card drivers for XP?? If theyre not, I would uninstall them, then download the latest version off the Intel site

2008-12-01 06:07:00 | Interesting Compaq dont supply a Driver for XP on their site for your model. But Try these (downloadcenter.intel.com) from Intel Site as mentioned by speedy. PS: welcome to PF1

2008-12-01 06:18:00 | I already have the current drivers from the Intel website. - And that forum post is me. Lol | kriusic (14370) | |
2008-12-01 06:45:00 | Did you install DirectX 9.0c yourself - it looks like from the report there may ?? be a problem - run the directX tests. Click start/run type in DXDIAG run the tests under the display tab.

2008-12-01 20:52:00 | You can try the latest version of DirectX 9 - November 2008 (www.microsoft.com) - some games require newer versions as the libraries get updated. I doubt whether Sims2 is in this category, but it can't really hurt :)
