| 724127 | 2008-11-29 07:42:00 | Hi People, Bought this AirLive Wireless Router from a friend which was unused by him. Connected and the book says the interface is 192.168.1.254 The username/password box comes up and i enter "airlive" for both as per the instructions and a message comes up saying mentioning something about Slingshot.. which i have no idea what slingshot has to do anything? Hit the reset, but i don't feel anything "click" just feels like im hitting a wall.. gave it a decent push with my phone's stylus.. the lights didn't seem to flicker any differently. my old wireless router was an smc barricade.. when that's connected.. you can surf immediately.. when i connected the airlive.. i couldn't surf and thats when i tried to enter the console and hence the resulting error message i also bought off the mate a dynalink rta1320 modem. i noticed the dynalink's dhcp server had a range from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.254.. the end ip is the same as the interface IP needed for the airlive.. so thought that perhaps that may have something to do with it.. i changed the end dhcp end ip to 192.168.1.100 with no change in the problem. any ideas anyone.. much appreciated.. racking my brains over this one :badpc: cheers! |

| 724128 | 2008-11-29 07:59:00 | okay.. wierd.. the dynalink shows the dchp table as servicing 2 hosts.. my pc via wired lan and some host called slingshot??? with a distinct mac address and it's own IP Edit: returned the dynalink to factory defaults and the slingshot host has now dropped off the dhcp table.. reconnected the airlive.. same error message.. :( |

| 724130 | 2008-11-29 10:40:00 | the dynalink has a server range of 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.254 (i changed the end ip back to 192.168.1.254 since there was no difference). adsl ---> dynalink rta1320 ----> airlive wireless router ----> wired pc no internet, cant access the dynalink web interface, cant access the airlive web interfacemy pc has an address of 192.168.1.1 which is the same as the dynalink's web interface? dynalink direct to pc gives pc ip of 192.168.1.2 im guessing some setting or settings in the dynalink will resolve this issue |
