512809 2007-01-05 05:03:00 Hi can anyone recommend some good cheap (or better yet free) web site editors? I have been using frontpage (I know, I know) but I am sick of the pages not rendering correctly with Firefox.

Any sugestions?

Thanks.

512810 2007-01-05 05:43:00 You could try NVU, as that is based on mozilla composer. and pages not rendering correctly in firefox is often down to the base html code, which requires manual fiddling at times. Dannz (1668)

In the case of Front Page you get what you pay for . I would have said Dreamweaver myself but I have read of cheaper effective html editors .

512812 2007-01-05 08:09:00 If firefox isn't rendering your site the same as IE, then the problem may not be because of Frontpage, but because of the CSS you are using . Vanilla html renders the same in all browsers I would think .

In that case get a good CSS editor .

I use topstyle lite, which is free, and use frontpage just to hold the site . The two link well together in FP2003 .

Expressions, the frontpage replacement has a built in CSS editor, but for me its a case of liking what you know .

512815 2007-01-05 19:33:00 Wordpad is alright for basic stuff. If you're familar with HTML and have a lot of time to spare, Notepad lets you get exactly what you want. pcuser42 (130)
