511355 2007-01-12 22:56:00 A game pad for racing games?

Must be simplistic games, Gimmie a good quality force-feedback wheel anyday.

I find arcade style racing more fun than realistic racing.

With arcade style racing, anyone can pick up a controller & just start playing - it doesn't take hours for each car just learning to keep it on the track. With games lioke Rfactor, you can only really play against other people that have been playing for a while.

511356 2007-01-12 23:22:00 Probally, Though I can pick up any sim-orintated game and turn in laps, not lightning fast laps but laps just the same.

As for arcade racers, Love em, always have, Though I dislike the jap themed games and they are getting lazy, NFS series just keeps on sucking.

I would hate to count up the hours wasted on the first few NFS games, Motocross Madness 1 and 2, first 3 Colin Macrae games, Monster Truck Madness 1 and 2, Powerslide, Leadfoot, Rally Championship 2000, Flatout, Vier Racing....and many many more.

And of course a few dozen others for the PS2,PS2 and Xbox.
