2007-01-09 05:04:00 | Another vent about the PS3. The new format being Blu-Ray. This is the 4th(?) format they have made and they have ALL failed because Sony keep it to themselves. Some I remember off the top of my head: Beta Max Mini Disc UMD Sure there is one more but just cannot remember it.

2007-01-09 22:25:00 | Is it true that some people are having trouble with their xbox 360s overheating. I have seen in other threads that people are saying they get too hot,as of yet i have had mine on all day for two days and have had no trouble with mine overheating i keep it well ventilated. Does this problem occur very often love to hear your comments.

2007-01-09 22:35:00 | We have our Xbox360 inside a cabinet unit, so there is only one side exposed, however even with this poor ventilation we have had no overheating problems - even after playing for hours/leaving on for days | noone (22) | |
2007-01-10 01:16:00 | Mines been fine and I have left it on 24/5 so far (eek). When one person stops playing someone else tends to occpy it in less then an hour. And with the coming of IPTV I'm sure it will be left on even more. | trinsic (6945) | |
2007-01-10 07:30:00 | I thought it used to be the power supplies that would overheat? | Chilling_Silence (9) | |
2007-01-10 23:34:00 | Mine got left on for over a week why we were on holiday....still works and the house didn't burn down. | Breezzee (2913) | |
2007-01-11 23:02:00 | Stupid question, I haven't driven a Lamborghini either but can safely say they are faster then the average car, So, whats your point? Lamborghini have a reputation that is well established through a long line of products. The PS3 is only a few months old. A disclaimer that you haven't used it before making claims would at least be honest (see my first post for mine). Although the Xbox 360 is comparable in most respects to the PS3 other than in raw processing power, storage, and openness, I feel that the presence of a model without a hard drive will severely cripple otherwise interesting use of all that power. This, I feel, is the Xbox 360's main weakness. The PS3's main weaknesses are low main memory and the additional programming expertise required to get the most out of the Cell processor. Whereas most computer programming allows you to live in the abstract land of software, the Cell makes you think about how you use the hardware and explicitly move appropriate code to the SPEs, which resemble programmable GPU pipelines more than traditional CPUs. If you move the wrong code, your game may run slower. If you move the right code, you can do truly amazing things and will have immense power at your fingertips. I look forward to hopefully being able to try both of these platforms in the future.
