They are there to look after the customers interest. I don't buy much without checking with CI. They are on the Internet , really up to date and all that. I just type the name of the product and review and Google, its free!! |

| 511946 | 2008-01-08 01:34:00 | Noel Leeming's now has the Sony HX750B for only $479 with 50 bonus fly buy points. They were 600 smackers a few weeks ago. If you are still using VHS, dump the bugger and grab the Sony. After all its 2008, not 1988. |

You can get a DVD/ VHS combo player for about $150 (Panasonic and Samsung) which is very good value, and is needed if you have lots of VHS videos. Also It is easy just to stick in a tape, and press record, and then you can take the tape anywhere to play it. Harddrive recorders, this isn't possible without first burning to dvd, or storing it on a central home network server. I am going to wait until freeview and hidef tuners are included in the video and TV before I move to the newer technology. |

| 511950 | 2008-01-08 07:01:00 | We bought a 160 Gig drive (Sony) but after two or so months are now wishing we had bought the 250 Gig drive. Goes against everything we, and the other good people on PressF1, had thought, but there you are !! :2cents: I think the thing is the ability to have both variety and a reservoir of material. We are definitely not big TV watchers. However, this evening we watched two whole episodes of "Rick Stein" in the Mediterranean. Was really great and what they can do on Corfu and elsewhere with those veges. I am going to keep the whole of the five episodes on DVD, so as to get them off the hard drive, and free up space !! Overall, it may be a great discipline to have only 160Gig because we have to do something to free up space, but life cannot always allow you these choices, especially time-wise. Get the space and enjoy !!!!! Misty :D |

| 511951 | 2008-01-08 07:11:00 | Misty, what resolution are you recording at? I usually set it at LSP or ESP (the default is SP),have over 80 titles on the HD including 18 hours of home movies, and still have 28 hours recording time remaining on the 160 G hd. |
