724626 2008-12-01 09:42:00 That spyware Doctor log shows mainly cookies - are you sure you run Ccleaner ????

What is required is a Hijackthis (www.trendsecure.com) log.

To get a log, download either the install or stand alone exe. double click it, Agree you will a Window Like this (www.imagef1.net.nz) - when finished you will get a report, click it anywhere , press ctrl+A then ctrl +C open a post here click and ctrl+V post the result.

OR on the Log Edit - select all - Copy - then paste it back here. ( same thing as above)

724628 2008-12-02 01:05:00 If you are brave you can find out what fan it is by gently slowing it slightly with a finger (in the middle of the fan) and see if the pitch of the noise changes. Often the smallest fans are the noiseyist, probably a video card or motherboard (chipset fan)
There are also fans in the power supply sometimes go noisey before failing, dont
put finger in there:D:D
Hard drives can get noisey bearings when they get old, if so replace it just in case.

You cant really fix the fan by cleaning it, it must be replaced (chipset fans can
often just be removed)

724629 2008-12-04 07:22:00 Yes i ran it once before. anyway If i run CCleaner which are the file types/categories safe to remove? Can i check all the boxes?? JA88 (14012)
724630 2008-12-04 08:10:00 I think so-except for the "saved form data" for both IE an firefox, as that erases the passwords.

The most important thing is that you tick "Temporary files" that's probably where teh nasties are.

724631 2008-12-04 14:58:00 So conclusion - is it a hardware or software problem??? JA88 (14012)
724632 2008-12-09 07:39:00 Another thing is that whenever i turn on the power socket which my pc is connected to, the computer switches on by itself. Why is that?? JA88 (14012)
724633 2008-12-09 08:31:00 Could be a power supply problem - as the power going to the PSU is not being activated by the MB - then again it could also be a faulty Switch Staying on or Board problem - I would first change the PSU for a known good one and see if it still does it. wainuitech (129)
