Realised that I only have an UBCD with XP Pro. Plus, not sure on how to recover to previous working state using the UBCD tools. Can it be done? |

It's the "UBCD4win" version. It's a bootable CD but when booted, I can't find any option that will help me restore to a previous working windows state..... am I missing something? |

Nope not missing anything - follow the path as shown In this picture (www.imagef1.net.nz) when it loads You should get a box with C:\Windows Selected, Click next, Make sure " Fix the system ----" is selected, Click Next, and you should get a list of restore points in the form of dates, select one a couple of days back, it will run through and tell you if it was successful or not, close the box, then click start/shutdown/ Restart/Eject - the CD will eject, and all going well the PC will boot into windows.IF not you can also try a day or so further back. |
