512123 2007-01-03 05:45:00 Simply incorporating different design aspects ive seen around. The stripes aren't so bold now, and the center page thing is a little wider (650px from 500). I still want the "page" effect. jermsie (6820)
512124 2007-01-03 11:56:00 Hated your first one. This is much better but I can't easily read the menu so I am __cked. mikebartnz (21)
512125 2007-01-03 11:59:00 I assume that it is just one page at present? If not, nothing else opens in IE 6. Pale pastels on mid grey are also very hard to read.

I like the stripes.

Cheers

Oh! Billy I thought you had progressed past IE.

When using a page use where you can a percent and that way it will render decently at any resolution. There are a number of sites I visit on dialup that are a complete dog because they take ages to load with nothing happening until it has fully loaded so make sure there is always something to view almost immediately. I did notice your site did load quickly.

You can't teach an old dog new tricks.

512128 2007-01-03 18:26:00 Try black text for your home bio portfolio headers. The blue is still hard to read. The lighter thinner stripes are an improvement although I would still debate as to whether you need them...50/50. Much better design though. winmacguy (3367)
512129 2007-01-03 18:34:00 I find the blueish navigation text to be very difficult to read .

The big back logo at the top is a heck of a waste of the most important space on the page, the top is where everyone looks first . Its really dark on my screen with hardly any definition, I think its an eagle, but don't know . My thought is "why?"

I don't think " Best viewed: Firefox / 1024x768 / Broadband" adds to the user experience in any way . They are hardly going to open a firefox browser, change their resolution, or get broadband to see your site .

Got some redundant code
<span><a href="#">Home</a></span>
The span is not doing anything :)
You probably could 1/2 your code by using CSS instead of tables .

Otherwise not bad :)

512130 2007-01-03 19:12:00 I still can't read the menu very well. mejobloggs (264)
512131 2007-01-03 22:11:00 i like the stripes but the nav bar is way to hard to read. Quite an appealing design. techiekid (7219)
512132 2007-01-04 02:15:00 IMO, new design much better, still a bit hard to read the menu text. noone (22)
