| 511434 | 2006-12-31 23:26:00 | hey all, i go to turn on my pc but my screen does not display anything! My LCD screen just has that box floating round saying "no video input" BUT i can hear my pc booting up. I got my old(8yrs) pc out of the garage and plugged my LCD into that and it is working fine! ( its what im using to send this message). so it seems the LCD is o.k if it workds on the old pc, so does that mean my current pc has a stuffed video card of something??? it is just on 4 years old. please help me thanks |

It's also possible that the card has worked loose as well. 1st thing would be to unplug the computer, open it up and take the card out/put it back in if you feel comfortable rummaging around inside the box. I guess if that doesn't work you might be able to swap your video cards in each comp (depending on type of card/motherboards) and you'd soon know if it doesn't work in your old comp. |

If you have onboard video try that if not try and borrow a video card or buy a cheapy on trademe. Making sure you get the right slot as well (AGP or PCI or PCI-E) |
