| 725770 | 2008-12-04 20:22:00 | I logged in the other day to a default desktop and an iTunes that said I'd never logged in before. FF had lost all plugins, and all my bookmarks had gone too. It's like I never existed. All my files are fine, but preferences are all scrambled. Any ideas? Running antivirus and spybot as we speak. (not simultaneously) |

| 725773 | 2008-12-05 00:04:00 | For FF - you need to delete the old profile if its been corrupted other wise it will corrupt again, BUT before you do go and rescue your Bookmarks from the old profile - make sure hidden folders are selected/showing then go to (For FF3) -- C: Drive\ Documents and settings\Your User account\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\Random numbered folder.default\BookmarkBackups. Copy that folder out - make sure FF is closed. click start/run type in firefox.exe -profilemanager <press Enter>when it opens remove the existing profile, create a new one - load up FF, import the favorites back in, and reinstall the plugins. |
