| 725410 | 2008-12-03 06:53:00 | Gee, I hate those smug 'experts' that like to scare the hell out of the unwashed without really educating them (seen on 'Closeup' tonight). No wonder I still get people scared to do anything on the Internet. It looked liked the test machines had routable IP nos, although they didn't say so, and were badly unpatched. Just a NAT router would have done wonders with this so called expose. PCAuthority magazine tested Internet exposure on ordinarlly protected systems and found it pretty hard to get infected in spite of going to dodgy sites. But we didn't hear about this. Grrrrr!! |
