725375 2008-12-03 03:13:00 I'm down to two choices - the 21.5" BenQ E2200HD and the 23" Dell S2309W.

They will primarily be computer screens, but my Xbox 360 is also a very high priority, which is why I wanted a 1080p 16:9 monitor. In the near future I'll also use it for PS3 play, so the Dell's lack of an HDMI port is a minor disadvantage, but it's not a deciding factor.
I don't know which one to choose because even though I'm reasonably sure that the BenQ will suit me just fine, I also watch a hell of a lot of movies on my PC since I have no TV and I'm somewhat caught up in Dell's marketing for the S2309W - it's meant to be superb for movie playback. However, it is $130 more than the BenQ and I was wondering if you guys thought dropping the extra cash monies would be worth it.

Thanks for the input

725376 2008-12-03 05:36:00 $130 for a bit bigger screen size and no HDMI?
1.5" is not much

725377 2008-12-03 20:49:00 Both are 1920x1080 TN screens. TN means poor viewing angles and colour reproduction, but little image processing lag. So this means bad image quality but good for fast paced gaming.

If you're able to stretch it, you could pay an extra $20 and get the s2409w. My current screen is 24", 1920x1200. I wouldn't want a screen any smaller at that resolution as the text would get too small, so I would probably prefer the Dell purely because of the larger pixels.

725378 2008-12-03 22:37:00 I've just brought this (www.viewsonic.com)

Down the road. it'd be a good monitor to get since it supports 1080P natively, and also supports HDMI (its got DVI/VGA and HDMI)

Was around $426, the shop took it down to $404.

Using it now. I cant use the HDMI at the mo, (havent got the cable, but the monitor and the videocard have HDMI on them)

I'll have to get the cable, next week to see what its like.

I was going to get the Konka 22' which also supports HDMI, and its also a TV. BUT the resolution is 1650 or something and 1080i not 1080P

725380 2008-12-03 23:06:00 That was the other monitor, I was going to get Trev. Its $336 down the road

The only reason I got this 1, was the HDMI connection. Thought I may as well get it, since the videocard has HDMI on it.

Hopefully, the sound works, once I get the cable for it.

Since, quite a few people have had probs getting the HDMI sound to work, with this videocard
