514941 2007-03-16 08:27:00 And smacking is to be banned?

Anyway, Pricespy does a few scans each day of the sites in its database, If you see a variation then its because its inbetween scans, No big deal, It will be corrected in a short time.

The only problem is when vendors list products at a cheap price to get at the top of the list but wont actually sell you that item at that price, They allways seem to have just sold out.

In fact one company decided to upgrade my purchase to a video card that was double the pricewithout telling me untill they had processed the payment. That was fun and games.

Anyway, Go back to school, get some smarts, And learn some respect for others.

514942 2007-03-16 10:04:00 Obviously you don't know the reality. Its Pricespy which goes to these websites and finds the prices. The pc dealers do not supply the prices. The reason I do not trust pricespy like many others is because they mislead visitors. The prices are not necessarily the lowest. They say they find the best prices but I found twice Once E1 computers and OEM computers being $ 4+ and $ 3+ respectively cheaper than the cheapest listed on pricespy website. Another time I found Supercheap cheaper by about $ 8+ than the cheapest on Pricespy. I pointed this to the kid at Pricespy. Instead of thanking me he arrogantly tells me to butt off. I have no favorites. I buy pc parts regularly from many suppliers hence I check the prices regularly (not at Pricespy but at supercheap and the likes ). I find supercheap the cheapest most of the times. Most importantly , people like QMB and Supercheap stock the items and we can go to them and pick up. Unlike the "Website Only" bull****. So Mr. Whatever "Reality" you are called, should not comment when you do not know " The Reality".:(
And you are?

And go away and stop spamming, oh and while you are away (hopefully never to return) take Metlas advice and "Go back to school, get some smarts, And learn some respect for others."

514944 2007-03-16 21:09:00 SuperCheap and FirstMobile Birkenhead seem to have almost exactly the same warranty policy. I.E. bluster, obfuscation, flat out lying, and seemingly endless delay. Since the regulatory authorities are too busy with official lunches to deal with trifles like business malfeasance, another method could satisfy disgruntled customers. Every executive of SuperCheap PC and First Mobile should be locked up with Sue Bradford under the pigeon perches.
In a friendly way of course.

Price Spy is a Guide

It should not be taken as an exact an precise statement about every detail of the market at ANY time.

Anyone can list a price on a website, and it is up to the consumer to check that the listing that pricespy robots have obtained is correct.

If it's not correct, then a much better thing to do, for those who seem so emotionally involved with this world ending stuff, would be to EMAIL PRICESPY, so that they can correct the price, and/or find out why PS are reporting the wrong price to it's viewers

514946 2007-03-18 11:09:00 I wouldn't classify Pricespy as a guide in any sense, It reports back specific data,That sometimes maybe out of date by an hour or two, and we know why the prices are sometimes wrong, Because they have updated them after the last scan by Pricespys bots, It will be corrected in shot order, No need to email Pricespy about it, Hell, There are probably a hundred or so items that are a few dollars or cents out of whack at any one time. 514947 2007-03-18 11:15:00 And it looks like SuperCheap is back. They were there again whn checking PriceSpy just now. Tukapa (62)
514948 2007-03-18 11:16:00 O well, i treat it as a guide.
and i hope they don't claim to be 100% accurate.

I look at pricespy
I look at the prices at my favorite shop, and if my favorite shop isn't too much more than the best i can get, i buy a new toy from the usual suppliers.

The one thing pricespy can't tell me yet, is if the after sales service on the cheapest supplier is any good., so it's easier to walk up the road, and go to people who i know honor warranties and stuff without drama.

514949 2007-03-18 11:23:00 Yeah, Its best used as guide, Sometimes I think I just like to disagree to see how big the reply I get is. Lmao. Anyhow, Pricespy covers all that in its information blurb. Metla (12)
514950 2007-03-18 11:25:00 And it looks like SuperCheap is back. They were there again whn checking PriceSpy just now.

They were back within a few days of getting removed, Just with a slightly different listing.
