515673 2007-01-14 06:14:00 Just finished scoffing down roasted Chicken drumsticks, it cooled down outside so its actually a bit more bearable.

On the computer I'm browsing TM for cheap bargains, I'm checking my inbox for the next session of voice acting files for a System Shock 2 fan mission, trying out another version of template from Andreas Viklund all the while watching TV on my comp.

Oh, I'm watching Star Trek DVD's in the middle.

Bob_Doe_NZ: Voyager? I like Star Trek Voyager the best :D

Ive just begun re-installing Gentoo, hoping to make a highly optimized x64 Gentoo-based LiveCD thats prime for use on a desktop, with Media-playback software, an office suite, a nice sexy desktop screen, good driver support...
We shall see about that though.

Im also looking to install a trial copy I have of Server 2003 and hookup some NCD Thinstar 200 clients to it, having never played with ThinClients before and only limited exposure to installing / configuring Server2003 it should be interesting.

Non-PC related:
Have been working on teatatubaptist.com and tabcyouth.co.nz as I'll be running the local Youth Group over the coming year+ so that's also keeping me on my toes

Also, my car has just gone back into the garage so insurance can finish fixing up the paint that they missed the first time around, re-aligning the right-left wheel, and re-lowering the rear. Once thats done I might see about doing some work on the soft-top, possibly re-painting the hard-top... all while Im *supposed* to be selling it, as Im learning to ride an wanting to purchase a new 2006/2007 Suzuki GN250 motorbike

Of course then theres work... work... Im soooo not looking forward to goin to work tomorrow.. unhappy customers.. same boring monotonous job... Anybody have a spare position going at their company? ;)

515675 2007-01-14 06:31:00 If you buy a GN250, I hope your figuring on selling it within 6 months, You will out grow it the minute you have mastered it. Metla (12)
515676 2007-01-14 06:37:00 Too right, Ive been told that many a times.. And a nice CBR-250 would last me a little longer..

However its a nice cheap place to start, it'll be brand new so any scratches will be my own, dirt-cheap for getting to work and back on sunny days.. and not fast enough that I cant go jump on it and drive it as though I could my MX5 and do something stupid while dodging in and out the traffic.

What'd you learn on yourself?
Ive also been suggested an RG150 would be good, but there's not enough of them around for sale, and IIRC they're not actually manufacturer anymore?

515679 2007-01-14 07:22:00 I'm just waiting for the day to get a bit cooler so that I can get outside and plant a tamarilo and an avocado tree to start our fruit garden.
Keep in mind that avo's rarely produce fruit if grown as a singleton - they need other tree/s around them to produce. Also be aware of the significant size they grow to, Fantastic if you'd like a nice shady tree in a large garden, but otherwise can be a problem.

Wikipedia has some good basic info on the subject.

unfortunitly anything decent in the 250 range is either old or overpriced or a mixture of both. As for a GN250, change the tyres straight away. The old RG150 have been around for a while and anything cheap most likely is due for engine work(being 2smoke ain't a problem).
I finally decided to become legal with a bike license and managed to get a VT250(88) for $550, abit rough around the edges but only got to last me 6 months.
Most the time I ride a mates K100 since he got his new monster

Thanks for that Greg. yes I am aware of the size, I have seen a few big ones around in other gardens. I used to work for Palmers for about 5 years so gardening comes fairly naturally to me. :) The reason I got into graphic design was because it pays more for less physical effort. :D
