| 725361 | 2008-12-05 05:01:00 | Duude I like that cooler. Where did you get the card and how much did it cost? And no he was pretty understandable to me... Thru price-spy, an Auckland shop, cost $275 when I got it, so it wasnt cheap and in truth, you could now get a more powerful card anyway, just not as sexy! |

| 725362 | 2008-12-07 01:29:00 | Yeah I reckon so. How does your card perform in high end games? | sammo450 (13626) | ||

How does your card perform in high end games? my asus 9600GT does fine in everything i've played so far:D silently keeps below 40 degrees too |

| 725364 | 2008-12-08 08:19:00 | Silently? You the have the v-cool version or just a good fansink? | sammo450 (13626) | ||
| 725365 | 2008-12-09 04:15:00 | the silent version from asus | motorbyclist (188) | ||
| 725366 | 2008-12-09 10:46:00 | I'm tossing up between that and the black pearl now. On one hand - stock speeds with absolute silence, on the other - faster speeds with possibly a bit of noise, not sure what the fan is like on it. WHat would you recommend? They're both close to $200, so price isn't really a deciding factor. | sammo450 (13626) | ||
| 725367 | 2008-12-09 10:51:00 | is your computer reasonably quiet as it is? if so, keep it quiet - if it's loud, who cares? |

And if you've heard that thing run, then you're going to swear a jet engine is like a whisper. |

| 725369 | 2008-12-09 11:33:00 | the asus 9800GTX is also ridiculously loud, largely due to the cooler/fan design and large too - barely fits in most cases both issues that could be easily fixed with a wider rather than longer design |
