| 514367 | 2007-01-10 03:56:00 | Will they make you buy a new phone when the display becomes damaged? :p What ever happened to small and sleek? It looks like a fat brick? Is that a mirror finish? How soon will someone sue Apple because it scratches easily?:D :2cents: |

| 514369 | 2007-01-10 04:28:00 | That's the way how some people describe a company via connotations, pretty much the same as why "Microsoft" has been short-formed to "M$" by some individuals. I suppose I struck it right, netchicken? :D Cheers :) Except I generally regard calling M$ as not always being complementary to Microsoft. Almost in the same way that uninformed people or those trying to insult Apple Inc(but not in this situation) call the IPod using CAPS rather than iPod, iTunes, iLife, iMovie, iDVD etc, etc which are all copyrighted brand names for synonymous with Apple Inc. |

I certainly wouldn't buy the 1st generation, as I am sure it will have heaps of problems, due to it being essentially a 1st generation device. Early adopters will probably be the main buyers, as they don't seem to care what it costs. |

There is no harm at all though in waiting for the 2nd version to come out which may only be 12 or so months away knowing Apple. The updated version will probably be $100 or so dollars cheaper and possibly have more storage and improved battery life etc. The fact that it is not currently showing on Apple's site sounds like it could be a way off arriving in this country. They only have about 6 million units on the initial production run and those are desitind for the northern hemisphere. |

| 514372 | 2007-01-10 05:31:00 | Apple NZ says it wont be released in NZ till 2008, so a newer version will most probably be available. Im not convinced yet, although it looks nice, it lacks alot of the features that current smartphones have. |
