514517 2007-01-14 01:26:00 The difference between Mac and Windows is that the bulk of the time you don't need to download any additional drivers unless it is some 3rd part device you are going to be using like a scanner, in which case you should have the disk with drivers with you. If you are needing updates then yes you can just download them. If it is just a camera or DV camera or external HD then it should just show up on the desktop.

Wow, Thats the difference aye?

You sure you have XP a home?, cause it seems you have no idea about it at all.

Apple does better than break even on the iTunes store despite what they say and the iPod range contributes to about 40% of Apple's revenue with just over a 29% profit margin to Apple's bottom line.

MS only has about 2 products that actually make money for it even if it is a lot.
The Xbox and Zune are actually still costing MS millions, although slightly less millions on the Xbox.

514526 2007-01-14 02:03:00 and me, ah no reply from pctek. Must be bull****

It was a modem. External, serial. I was working at an ISP at the time. OK,it wasn't the latest 2006 model of MAC but neither was it ancient rubbish either.

The only thing we were able to connect was an ADSL modem via ethernet. Because as we know it doesn't require anything done to the machine to enable that.

And I haven't bothered reading all the latest posts on here because its become the usual PC versus Mac argument and there is no point in trying to change the mind of religious fanatics. Oh I mean Mac fanatics.

They may catch up one day with the PCs good points - which Metla has already explained, but its not there yet. And when it does, it will have become a PC anyway.........Apple figured that out ages ago. Thats why you now can add your own bits - KBs, HDDs, MS operating systems....

Apple was the innovative ones, well at least Steve Wozniack was, way back when, but they lost it. They've tried to claw their way back ever since. Minus Mr Wozniack who gave up in disgust.
