Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair. Term often used by techies to explain certain computer problems.

One of the most often mentioned compalints about the original Shuffle was that with no screen users found it harder to navigate to the songs they wanted to hear, hense the marketing campaign designed around the shuffle concept - Live life randomly 250 songs you never know what your going to hear next.

514449 2007-01-12 00:36:00 Corect the iPod shuffle doesn't have a screen due to the limited number of songs it carrys and its size obviously. Generaly you just hit "play" then move your thumb around the click wheel for volume up or down with additional ff skip or rrw or skip.

So what did you find hard about it?

the shuffle doesn't have a click wheel

now that wheel is my problem, don't ask how, but i found/find it a pain in the ass, and prefer good 'ol buttons. note i also find my mate's creative mp3 player a pain for the same reason.

i remember target did a thing on mp3 players and funnily enough the ipod came out bottom on ease-of-use, so i'm not the only one:p

perhaps a shuffle wouldn't be so bad, but then again, i'd rather have the small player with buttons and a screen. probably cheaper than the nano also

I saw that one. I would have to say that 99% of users are happy with the click wheel though. Myself included. I can't vouch for the shuffle as I mentioned before, but I can tell you that it is about as easy as easy gets when your navigating with a screen through 2000 + songs and assorted palylists. You just move your thumb around it and hit the midde button to select a play list or hit play to start playing the play list or songs.

the 512MB shuffle costs MORE than a 1GB shuffle!

i think the percentage is less than 99% btw

now isn't this a thread about iphone? i said what i said, metla said similar, it will just be another fashion statement. it isn't a brand new product (nor was the ipod) but marketing will get the masses to think so

The 512MB shuffle would cost more than a 1GB as it is older. The prices have continued to come down as the capacities have gone up.

Maybe 98% of customers are happy...whats 1 or 2% between users ;)

Apple accounts for 20% of total FLASH RAM purchased globally, increasing year on year by 20%.

514455 2007-01-12 00:56:00 I would say that iPod users are 90% happy 80% of the time with the product. The rest is for niggling issues.

With Windows its....... ;)

and? microsoft windows is used by more than 90% of computer users, doesn't mean it's any good, it just means it's popular and people don't realise there are viable alternatives like mac and linux, both of which are cheaper. same for norton/mcafee; useless, but bundled with everything so people assume it's good. my neighbour is an example of that. avast free home edition found 4 viruses that mcafee missed:horrified
