| 515977 | 2007-01-19 06:01:00 | Stole the link to this photo (i27.photobucket.com) from another forum taken last night at Auckland (I think). Can I ask which forum? So I can find out where & which direction & time. I hope our current clear skies stay that way so we can have a peek at it tonight. It does not look good up here in Auckland to see it: stuartw.orcon.net.nz from my place @ 6:13 pm aprox This stuartw.orcon.net.nz was want it look like from my place last night at 8:43 pm aprox |

| 515980 | 2007-01-19 06:57:00 | The direction you need to look at is the same for the whole southern hemipshere give or take a few degrees, if your looking towards the horizon where the sun sets it will be about a handspan up and a hand span left from the sun(about the same as venus but on the left not the right if you look to the right of the sun you will see venus not a comet) crossing the horizon at around 8:30 if theres no clouds you WONT miss it :), it should go past the horizon out of view at around 10 10:30 IIRC, Thanks Chris |

| 515984 | 2007-01-19 08:48:00 | You won't see it in the morning as it well be on the wrong side of the sun ie rising after the sun is up. I have just seen it tonight from Napier 9-30pm before it went behind the clouds. It was higher than I expected above the horizon. To the naked eye it appears as a brightish long streak, but with my 7x50 binoculars you can see the comet itself. | Trev (427) | ||
