I hope not - I quite enjoy reading Beetles speels :)

Edit - that would be spiel I'm thinking of. If you spell it phonetically, it would be speel. I guess that didn't really work :(

517368 2007-01-20 07:28:00 well, it was awesome for those of us who bothered to go

scribe was ****. god knows why they put him on the main stage. he was the only rap act, and people were all swarming the other stage waiting for tool. after an hour of us giving him ****, we finally got the killers, then muse, which was F'ing awesome, and then tool. now i thought the hour leading up to tool was bad (although fun), but when tool started and for some reason the water stopped i only lasted 20 minutes before surfing out. 5 minutes later i was keen to get back in but they had barred the mosh pit entrance as it was at full capacity :(

blindspott were good despite the sun. my chemical romance was an emo affair, after which the emos dissapeared, and so did any remaining respect for the lead singer with the incredibly whiney voice. Evermore was crap, but not as bad as scribe, who was absolute ****.

yes there was a fair amount of marijuana smoke, but there was wind to carry it away.

and i agree they should've minced the rap fans and emos

there was quite possibly more emo bashers than emos lol

i'm gutted i didn't see jet, and that i stayed on the tool side of the mosh while muse was on.

517370 2007-01-20 12:32:00 Hmm
Definitely a generation thing.

I have worked out a reasonable translation of most of motorbyclist's review (Caps for the bands would've helped) and I can sort-of guess mosh.
But I need help with emo/s.

(Asking anyone from middle-aged upwards to explain his last 4 lines as written could be a fun experiment in communication.

Or maybe not..?)

Obviously the drug that you will know of

and i agree they should've minced the rap fans and emos

Image this in a completely literal sense of the word minced, and you will get the picture

there was quite possibly more emo bashers than emos lol

EMO = this (http://www.fourfa.com/)
Emo basher = People who hate emos

i'm gutted i didn't see jet, and that i stayed on the tool side of the mosh while muse was on.

I'm really disappointed I didn't get to see Jet (a band), and that I stayed on the Tool (a band) side of the mosh pit (en.wikipedia.org) thus missing Muse (another band).

I'm far from middle aged at 16, but I deal with a frightning amount of forty year olds in the running of my business.
