| 515837 | 2007-01-14 10:29:00 | but astronauts would be better at fighting, whilst the caveman would be a bit less skilled for lack of a better explanation (ie martial arts) An astronaut would be fitter, though I cant imagine they are trained to fight, while a caveman would have to do it everyday just to keep alive, They were probably the toughest meanest people to ever live. I know Id rather be attacked by a astronaut then a caveman. Caveman would kill you, straight up, kill or be killed, An astronaut would be more likely to shake your hand and have a chat. |

| 515838 | 2007-01-14 12:27:00 | look, basic premise, caveman is in a fight with an astronaut, ie. both are going to try to kill each other, one is going to come off second best. no guns/clubs/spacesuits. they're both the same phisiologically, so i'd say the astronaut has the intelligence to outsmart the caveman, and don't say the caveman is stronger as they are both in peak performance, except the astronaut is better fed so he'd infact be stronger.... but then again.... it was an argument between me and a mate, but we both came to the conclusion of astronaut.... i thought i'd see what you guys had to say on the matter, and see how long everyone would argue about something completely pointless based on pure speculation (the iphone thread's mac vs windows argument is also pointless, but only because winmacguy is a fanatic:xmouth: , and you can't argue with religion;) ) did anyone watch Angel while it was on TV3? |

Just my opinion of course, If I ever happen to stumble across a caveman and an astronaut I'll ask em to settle the issue. |

LOL, nice, yeah, right. good thought though, you'd do well in NCEA english:lol: (would you look at a thread called "caveman vs astronaut" or "IMPORTANT ISSUE AFFECTING NZ") |

By the way, I don't like the sarcasm here. |

I actually think motorbicyclist was congratulating you on your intellignece compared to to majority of NZers (or perhaps even PF1ers!) So, now I'm offended by his comments as they didn't have NCEA when my brain cells were being tested... now it's too late :( James, remember- sarcasm can be good... like lemon in a nice cool drink  |

By the way, I don't like the sarcasm here . yes i'm baiting you no i'm serious, to come up with meaning that wasn't even there to begin with is basically the foundation of level 1 & 2 english, and the whole of level 3! |

| 515846 | 2007-01-15 05:17:00 | Has the hypothetical astronaut just come back from a mission? If he has spent too long in 0 gravity, the hypothetical caveman will tear him to shreds. Intelligence doesn't give any advantage in this sort of situation. The astronaut would probably hesitate before killing another human even in a kill or be killed situation. The caveman wouldn't hesitate. |
