2008-12-07 22:59:00 | Which one is better? Legality reasons aside, i want to have a file server with all my cds on it, so i dont have a mess everywhere and i can just search for the CD over the network. Which method (copying the contents of the cds or using a CD Image maker ie Alcohol 120%) is better. Or are they both the same? | aidanmaz (7180) | |
2008-12-07 23:07:00 | I'd go for .isos. Always. | wratterus (105) | |
2008-12-07 23:12:00 | yeah? Im not planning to reburn onto a CD (god i have way too many) I would hav thought if i need to use them its easier to have the cd contents copied. | aidanmaz (7180) | |
2008-12-07 23:13:00 | i use a program called virtualdrive pro , does a good job, so i can play old games of mine without the disc. I'd imagine it would do what you are after.

2008-12-07 23:24:00 | Alcohol 120%, Magic ISO, Daemon tools, any of those programs will allow you to use the images. ImgBurn is great for making and burning the images. | wratterus (105) | |
2008-12-07 23:38:00 | alcohol can burn ISO's (or any other disc image) too | aidanmaz (7180) | |
2008-12-08 08:53:00 | Definetly iso's If there's anything hidden I won't miss it. And-most image burners/creators integrate themselves into the context menu anyways. No fuss. Nice and Easy

2008-12-08 10:01:00 | Actually, Alcohol 120% can make & burn them.. Alcohol 52% costs less, but doesnt let you burn the images ;) I scored myself a free version off some magazine disc a while back, works a treat :)
