516559 2007-01-16 21:16:00 Has anyone got any experience of a work-from-home foreign language course? I'm after a recommendation for something that's not too costly.

Thanks.

516560 2007-01-16 21:57:00 best way to learn a foreign language is to go and live and work in the country of the language you want to learn. Other wise do a google search. winmacguy (3367)

I'm packing my bags this instant and booking an Aeroflot flight; hand luggage includes a Dummies-Guide-For-Google. Greg (193)
516562 2007-01-16 22:49:00 Well one of them is a viable option in this situation, but I'd hate to hear your "Russian" compared to an actual Russian speaker after about a year or so of self taught.... winmacguy (3367)
516563 2007-01-16 22:52:00 Of all the self taught languages I probably wouldn't pick Russian unless I had to or was go to live and work over there asuming your wanting to learn Russian my fellow komrade. winmacguy (3367)
516564 2007-01-16 23:03:00 LOL

I just want to learn the language as a bit of a hobby... my dad was Ruskie hence the reason for that particular language choice.

516566 2007-01-17 00:33:00 Do you have a challenge on your hands or what:) I wanted to learn Hebrew or German but my parents were like "When are you EVER going to use those???" beeswax34 (63)
516567 2007-01-17 00:49:00 Hi Greg. My wife once learned spoken German from a migrant through an ad she placed in a local throw-away paper. They met here and at her place and seemed to be mutually beneficial. Although the learning process has long finished, they remain good friends. Might be some recent Ruskie arrivals in Auckland?
