518195 2007-01-28 00:14:00 Hi George,I went to the same auction to buy my Dad a new PC,I was the under-bidder assuming you won auctions 160 to 167? I thought I was going to be offered one as I thought at first you only wanted 5, Then I saw Chris Scrhoder(I think) approach you & then he turned to the auctioneer & said "he'll take the lot".
I didn't bid on lot 168 as it had cd-writer & I knew it would attract the bids.
I did however bid on & win lot 169 ,I had to go to $250+costs.
I too was disapointed when I got home & found there was only 256mb ram when it said in catalouge 512Mb. I put it down to bad luck for not getting there earlier & checking it out.
I only came to have a look at this thread after a mate told me about it.
After reading this thread I was off to see if the insides matched the model number on the front of case & can report that our Netvista is a P4 2.4Ghz. 8305-42a
I wonder what chris from turners would say if I ring him up about the ram? Obviously they all had 256mb.

Cheers Steve
PS: I don't suppose you have restore disk for this model? It has winxp pro licence sticker on the side but winXP Pro SP2 oem won't accept the number.

Hi Steve

Yes, those are the ones I bought. I don't have an XP Pro CD it likes either, it will be the OEM version it needs and you will have the retail or corporate. I might have a disc with one of my laptops that's right for them. I'll get back to you.
