518000 2007-01-21 16:00:00 Hi guys,

Is it possible to play playstation games on your PC using the same disc?

Just by chance I came across an article that said download this and that and you can play ps2 discs on your PC.(I think you had to pay, but I thought no way).

Is this full of crap or can you actrually do it?

518001 2007-01-21 18:56:00 Not sure about PS2, but I remember trying out Virtual Game Station (en.wikipedia.org) many years ago and PS1 games ran ok on it (it was made by Connectix, the same people who created VirtualPC). It has been discontinued now though. maccrazy (6741)

518003 2007-01-21 20:03:00 ePSXe is the best PS1 emulator. You can use the original discs with that.

As far as I know, PS2 emulation is not very goopd yet.

518007 2007-01-24 01:59:00 PS1 emulation is very good. (epsxe.com) but you do need the BIOS files for it to run.

PS2 is still undeveloped. Few games are playable, but if you want to have a look at a couple of emulators anyway, the "best" ones are here (www.ps2-emulator.com) and here (http:).

Give it about a year and a bit I'd say...
