| 517980 | 2007-01-21 07:01:00 | hey me and my friend are into building our own pc's and were light gamers so we've spent the least amount of money we can to build budget gaming pc's that can eat up games like BF2 and counter strike source etc... heres the specs: his PC: AMD 64 3000+ at 2.2GHZ gigabyte socket 754 mobo with AGP palit Geforce 7600GS sonic 724mb pc 3200 ram cheap generic 320w PSU windows 64 bit version and my specs: AMD 3700+ with san diego core at 2.2GHZ ASUS A8N SLI se point of view Geforce 7600GT pci-e 724mb Pc 3200 ram thermaltake pure power 470W windows 32 bit version hey yeah we made the systems successfully and we were enjoying some games and i noticed in most stuff his makes my PC look like **** and im gob smacked WHY IS HIS BETTER THAN MINE! is it the 64bit windows giving him the edge or what? please help me guys i really need ideas how to make my system bend his over and give it the what for |

| 517982 | 2007-01-21 07:12:00 | sorry i havent been specific in games like CS:source on the stress test im getting 60 and hes getting 80 i mean what the hell he runs fear on high and mine is annoying me with lag i know the 7600GS sonic is good but i a bloody sure its not that much better than a 7600GT so anyhelp to get mine running better would be appreciated |

| 517986 | 2007-01-21 07:19:00 | Kinda strange. The 7600GT is better than the 7600GS by quite a bit. See here: www23.tomshardware.com I believe what Metla is saying, is that your windows install probably has a whole lot of junk on it, slowing things down. |
