520383 2007-01-29 17:09:00 Time I got a new b/b ISP.
I want full speed. They all seem about the same.
Good a/v and spam filtering

I don't care about "support". I don't care if they never answer their phone.
I don't want my downloads censored. I don't want sites blocked because they may contain objectioable material.I can decide for myself what is objectionable. Have just found "You tube" is blocked !!!!

Is there a good ISP out there? Xtra, Ihug, Paradise, all tried and found wanting.

WHO ???

I dont want free crap modems or routers. I don't want their fancy joining fees either. I don't overly care about prices either. I just want something like 2 to 5 gigs a month at full speed

As I said WHO??

520384 2007-01-29 19:00:00 XNet (http://www.xnet.co.nz) CYaBro (73)
520385 2007-01-29 19:19:00 Actrix. Best ISP in 2006 according to consumer. http://www.actrix.co.nz

520386 2007-01-29 19:43:00 I can also highly recommend Xnet.

Actrix - Max/128, approx. 10Gig data = $59.95 (+$10 if you don't switch your tolls)

Xnet - Max/128, approx. 10Gig data = $44 (no extra charge for not switching tolls)

If you wanted Max/Max, on Actrix it would cost you an extra $20 ($79.95). On Xnet, it would cost an extra $16 ($60.19).

I don't know anything about Actrix (service, features, free modems/joining, etc), but Xnet has good service (if you ever need it), doesn't pretend to offer a free modem, has no joining/churn fee at the moment, and no fixed term contract. Youtube always works with Xnet.

BTW, which ISP are you with that blocks Youtube?

520388 2007-01-30 01:22:00 Well I signed up with xnet
I like them already. They said I will be switched over today. And when I asked them about paying they said we will send you the bill.Pay then.
3 gigs (all I want) and top speed up and down. $52 per month.

520390 2007-01-30 10:22:00 Watchdog.net.nzYou signed up for an ISP thats whole reputation is based on their filtering service to only provide access to family friendly, work safe site.

They don't exactly hide it on their webpage, so it seems you're making yourself out to be the fool here.

I doubt any ISP could possibly satisfy you.
