JWs in particular are not allowed.
They don't study the bible as they claim either - they study their leaders interpretations via their books.

They go around saying no man knows the hour (of the end) but produce dates every 5 minutes. The current one is later this year.

As was last year, 1975, I could go on.
Its not so amusing either as they get them all worked up to the point were quite a few go round quitting jobs, selling assets and so on. Then of course they change the wording in their books - even re-issuing them with the offending warnings altered.

Who us, no we never said that.

And the ridiculous bans on things that have come and gone.
Ask one why beards aren't allowed. And take a good look at the current male fashions before you do.

And then theres stuff like not associating with the "wordly" - including family. Not quite as extreme as the Brethren but not far off either.

Its all cult stuff.

520858 2007-02-03 04:11:00 It is indeed cult stuff, Though I would hate to live in a country where beliefs were governed, Which means acceptance of their right to believe in flubbery.

Of course, On the other side of the coin if they somehow came into power they would instantly outlaw anything not of their word.

Which just goes to show, We or at least I are better then they.
