520283 2007-02-05 08:14:00 I think it's pretty much a given that a subscriber should be getting a better deal than a casual buyer. Apart from the convenience of having the mag delivered to your letterbox, what else, as a subscriber, would the benefit be? As a subscriber, the magazine has the use of your money well in advance of publication date...:2cents:

This is what the Interweb is for... :p

Hey don't lambast the "casual" buyer ~ they turn into subscribers

520284 2007-02-05 08:20:00 I hope you don't mind if I muddy the waters just a trifle. Let's just say I have a loose sort of connection with NZ Post and have legal access to a mail sorting office. On a number of occasions I/we have spotted mail destined for us and assumed it would be delivered the following day-wrong! It has often been delivered up to 5 days later-excluding week-ends!! No, we don't rummage through the mail, we know which box our mail goes into and our it's often on the top as we are last in the road (semi-rural I must admit). In Ali's case he is in a busy suburb but I would suspect NZ Post could well be one source of the problem.
I believe, if memory serves me correct, that with 2nd class mail there was a belief (touted by NZ Post some years ago) that you would receive the mail within 2 working days and with 1st class you would receive it the next day-wrong again! Anyone looked at the senders date on their mail recently? We have had mail delivered 2nd class with a postmark over seven (7) days prior which we have seen in the box the previous evening-and coming all of 28 kilometres from the sender. I know for a fact that (in our neck of the woods at least) mail can be "saved" until convenient to be delivered along with the other odds and sods, like junk mail. It can make things problematic if you are expecting urgent mail-but most of my urgent mail consists of bills.
Regards Gordon.

I wish my bills and Inland Revenue demands would be as slow as that

520285 2007-02-05 10:33:00 I haven't received mine for this month yet! :(

Not missing much - read all interesting bits in 10min, re-read it in case I missed anything. Took it to work next day and gave it away.

Can anyone recommend a decent computer magazine? Netguide not much better, only advantage is it is cheaper.

The game reviews are always good, Im seriously wanting to buy STALKER now!

Try PC Authority. It's a computer mag. Not about telephones and cameras.

520291 2007-02-06 04:50:00 Subscribed a few weeks ago - nothing yet. And they also don't answer emails or phone calls. Poor customer service. Makes me wonder whether I did the right thing.
